BIO and other fun information

Originally from New York, Lauren Nadler has traveled the world visiting, and sometimes working in,
Australia, England, Norway, France, Germany, Austria, most of the USA, Israel, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Lauren now lives in Connecticut with her husband Roger, and her Labrador Molly,
with occasional visits from her son Cameron – a theatre major, now graduate from UNC, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Lauren originally studied art and design under Tomie dePaola (www.tomie.com), and later did her apprenticeship at Milton Glaser, Inc where afterwards she continued working (www.miltonglaser.com). Lauren continued in design and art direction working for
design studios, corporate projects and magazine and book publishing companies. For more details see Lauren’s resume.

Lauren has mastered the Adobe Creative Suite as well as Quark and Dream Weaver.
Besides art and design qualifications, and years experience as an Art Director for best selling magazines,
Lauren also has a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology.

Lauren is a kamikaze skier, an enthusiastic cyclist, a compulsive spin class addict, has a powerful golf swing,
and mostly beats her husband playing tennis!

To fill in the wee hours Lauren has served as an EMT, ski patroller, YMCA climbing and high ropes team building facilitator –
and, in the last few minutes of a day, manages to study the difficult art of oil painting.

Great personal accomplishments include cycling over 5,400 miles raising money for Special Olympic athletes,
Competing in triathlons, hiking the presidential peaks along the Appalachian trail with five eleven year olds,
the chanllenge was the eleven year olds not the mountains, and helping to save lives as an EMT, and as a Ski Patroller.

Asheville, North Carolina the asault on Mt Mitchell — Spring of 2012.
Nashville, Tennesse to Batton Rouge, Louisianna — Spring of 2012, 600 miles.
Moab, Utah to Cedar City, Utah — Fall of 2011, 600 miles.
Annapolis, Maryland to Asheville, North Carolina — Spring of 2010, 700 miles.
550 miles through New york and vermont around Lake Champlain summer of 2009.
600 miles through Austria and Germany the summer of 2008 with an additional 200 miles in England.
600 miles through the Netherlands and Germany the summer of 2007.
All four trips with her brother-in-law, Ron Burrows, an RAF pilot, Colonel to be exact (hey if your husband
doesn't bike ride you do the next best thing and convince his brother to go, which didn't take much convincing).
Ron has the wonderful skill of navigation so both returned home safely om all trips.
North Carolina trip also included good friend and local biking companion Danny Price.

Greatest satisfactions in life
Seeing the success of her son Cameron who has always exceeded all her expectations.

Future cycling goals
To cycle across the U.S. before her knees give out. And convince her two brothers Steven and David
to do a small syblings cycling or ski trip somewhere, anywhere! Come on guys, it will be fun!!!
